If any irritation occurs, a cold compress using a wrapped ice pack can provide relief
-
Remove the bandage and wash your tattoo
with room-temperature water and gentle, fragrance-free soap (Dial Gold is recommended)
Use clean hands and avoid abrasive materials.
Gently pat the area dry
Apply a thin layer of a simple, scent-free moisturizer (Lubriderm lotion is recommended).
Follow this washing routine 1-2 times a day, and moisturize small amounts throughout the day
-
Your tattoo will start to peel or flake around this time and continue for the next week. This is a normal part of the healing process
Don't pick, pull, scratch, or itch your tattoo during this period
-
The peeling should have stopped by now, and you'll see a clearer picture of the final tattoo
Over the next few weeks, your tattoo will keep improving as the final healing takes place. In about 6-8 weeks you will have a fully healed tattoo
Keep moisturizing your tattoo and research daily skincare routines to prolong the life of your tattoo work
